Default D16Y8 head on d15b7

Im considering doing this since i need a major tune up and i got a y8 head sitting around. Ive got a quick question I know i have to use the d16y8 dizzy and do i have to wire it up differntly then a d16z6(No extra wiring just plug and play) and the correct timing belt is from the y8.?

If anyone can add any other info it would be great.
P.s I read the awsome mini me write up, but it didnt cover ^my questions.

Thanks in advance

To answer 1 of your questions the d16z6 dizzy wont fit.. 1 bolt will but the other 2 wont. Trust me when i say that the d15 will bot right on and be perfect because its already set for odb1... the d16y8 is odb2... So run the d15 dizzy.. It will bolt right on....

i have a d15 in my 93 hatch and its slow as hell.. are there any kind of engine mods beside nos or turbo that would give me a substantial gain in hp ?

Mini me is the best bang for the buck, you get a bit of power increase and do a huge maintenace.

my friend has a VX block with a y8 head. he said he doesnt like it though. hes only using that block because his z6 block died on him. and he said he can feel a big power loss so i think u should just get the block too for more power IMO

Yep, you use the Y8 timing belt. use the D15b7 water pump (not VX), as mentioned D15b7 dizzy is a perfect fit. dont forget to pull the oil control jet out of the block w/ some needle nose pliers (or you will get to pull the head off twice
