D16Y8 in ek, is the build worth it?
This might have been asked a million times already but i need to know if i should swap or keep my single cam. Will bolt ons make much a power difference? Boosting it might be the best thing to do but i hear that's a bad idea with stock internals. I usually see B series engines in civics nowadays. I dont want hit crazy *** power numbers but i'm aiming for 200+ hp. As far as my budget goes, i'm willing to spend a few grand if that's what it takes. So tell me HT, is building a d series worth it? (Spare me, i'm a noob)

impossible to hit 200hp on a sohc N/A.. have to boost it
stock internals you can go 6-10 psi on a good tune
Oh yea.. use the SEARCH function.. Works wonders I use it everyday all day

200whp N/A will make this car a full race car. Meaning will NEVER be street legal, and the amount of money it's going to cost you to make that power will likely scare you so bad you'll sell the car.
Turbo is a completely different story, you can make 200 rather eaisly. However it would likely be a complete engine build to do so.
For a few grand you can build a pretty nice turbo D.3-4k and my friend was making 400+whp.
The fact that your 16, makes me want to tell you to invest in other area's. IE, alarm, and make the car look good. You are 16, there is no reason for you to have that kind of power that soon.
Learn the car, learn how to drive and make it look good first. Also, put a flipping alram on the thing.
Becuase your in cali, there are a lot of things others can do that you can't. Turbo's are one of the grey area's. You have to very careful what you buy or you wil fail right away.
