D16y8 automatic intake manifold
So i am currently having and issue with my d16y8 honda civic intake manifold. I changed it to the Skunk2 pro series intake manifold. I have everything together with the stock throttle body and i covered the back plate that goes to the manual IACV. I made sure there was no leaks and double checked the fittings. They were all secure and fastened down. So the problem is that when i start my car it revs to 3000rpm and after a second it surges from 1000rpm-3000rpm. With my old MAP sensor it went right to 5000rpm. I changed it with a new one and it was surging at 1000rpm-3000rpm.
Im thinking its either the IACV or the TPS sensor? But i dont know anymore and just really bummed that i wasted my money for something that doesnt work properly.

Re: D16y8 automatic intake manifold
Check your throttle body gasket, there is supposedly some minor differences between year models but I can't confirm personally, perhaps someone else could chime in but it's worth looking at. You could also have gotten an intake leak if you changed the intake manifold gasket and didn't get all the old material off which is a pita.
