d16y7 possible motor seize???
I tried changing the y7 intake manifold to the y8 today but As i finally got everything in place, The idle was a contant 2,500-3k rpm..I am an idiot and I had the coolant hose to the front of the manifold to where the vacuum hose goes, so my motor was pretty much just getting straight water/coolant.
I didnt like the sound of the idle so I tried to just install the stock intake manifold and have the shop do the y8 for me. as I put the y7 manifold on. I did an oil change. and as I start the car it doesnt even start. it just sounds like it seizes.
I took the spark plugs out and flushed it and i keep and keep just flushing it, not sure if there just a hose from the coolant line backward or what! any advise greatly appreciated.
I guess in the mean time i have to look for a swap.

yo might have hydrolock the motor with the coolant did you try to turn the motor over with a braker bar on the crank pully it shoud turn over pritty ez but if not the motor is probably done for. if thats the problem you may as well swap it if you had plans on doing it anyway

have you tried to turn the crank over with a socket and rachet that first thing i try and that will tell you if its seized up or not. if itll turn over that way its not seized if it wont then motors seized and buy another swap
