Default d16a6 head on a d16y7 block?

i know the head will bolt up, but do i use head bolts from the y7 or the a6 for the head? i'm not sure if they are diff or not i nkow that the z6 head on the y7 y8 block require longer head bolts for at least 2 of them. anything else i should know about? also is the stock cam from the y7 better than from the a6, in terms of performance?

Good question there man. I'd like to know too. SOHC tech is always fun. I would check out the hybrid board at http://hybrid.honda-perf.org

There's a few articles on there about the "Mini-me" and related SOHC swaps.. Good luck.

why bother? You should install a y8 head on your y7 block. It will flow better then the a6 and you will have vtec.
