Hi guys im new here and i bought a non vtec jdm d16a. Runs good and it has a y8 head on it with the vtec solenoid part on the head thats blocked off with a plate. Question is is the head actually vtec? I wanna use a p2p y8 ecu but to do that i gotta buy the 2 wire iacv and throttle body etc and the solenoid. its gonna be costly but ive read somewhere that the d16a has a y8 head with y7 valvetrain so i have no idea. My fear is rewiring the iacv and the vtec doesnt work and id have to un do the whole conversion. My head on the jdm engineis p2j-6 a d16y8 stamp code.
