you could use a D16Y8 to bump the compression up a bit..but then you're dealing with OBDII 
Just use the Z6 head, port it, cam and valvetrain, and it's good to go

yeah, d16z6 is the best OBD I d head...what you can do is add the y8 manifold and head gasket...that should give u a few more HP and up ur compression by a good amount
