Default is a d16 non vtec compatible with a d16 vtec for a swap?

i have a 1993 civic dx 4 door with a non vtec d16 thats got a hole i9n the block, i want to swap it with sohc d16 vtec, i was wondering if it was possible. i know ill need vtec computer and wiring harness.

and yes of course its possible, but i suggest u search for more info, since ur asking if its possible to swap d16 with d16

i mean ovbiously he wants to go with a sohc vtec if hes asking this kind of question..to answer the poster's questions yes it is possible..if you can find a complete d16z6 swap which came fomr the 92-95 EX.

only a sohc?? i hate single cam haters, i dont like them myslef, but my car is rather quick and it even has 262k miles on it

u no this guy might not b into moding out his engine, maybe all he wants is a quick replacement. and sohc is the cheapest way to go, better gas mileage and very reliable

im no hater i have a SOHC. see my sig?? i was asking in case he didnt know he could go with a bigger (Dohc) engine. take a chill pill

easy guys im a noob! civicse is dead on, i need a quick replacement so i can keep my job and eventually get the b16a
