d15b7 problem
got a problem with my 92 hatchs d15b7, the thing doesnt want to start sometimes and i have no clue why. to start i need to say the problem isnt consistent it can happen if the car is hot or cold, whether it just ran or hasnt been cranked for a day or two. the problem happens mostly on a slight incline but like i said no consistently. ok the technical part, the car turns over fine it gets good power to the starter/alternator but acts like it isnt getting any fuel. i have replaced the fuel filter, plugs and wires but the problem still continues. another weird characteristic is that the car has a really low low idle like maybe 100-200 rpms which is even more bothersome. the engine has 149, 500 miles on it and still run great when not experiencing problems. if any body can help me with this i'd appreciate it. i was thinking it is either the throttle positioning sensor or fuel pump but am not really sure like i said. thanks for the help

Re: (mike93eh)
I had the same problem for a few weeks, I'd start the car, and it took a few starts before it caught on, and even then it would idle real low for a bit until it smoothed out. Then, 2 days ago, my dizzy went on me. Changed it and all is good now. So, as far as what I had, safe to say ignition and timing. Now, if you have the same thing going on there...?

Re: (wagonis)
i know my distributor cap is pretty messed up, i think ill change that out when i change the fuel pump, its amzing my car still starts becuase its so corroded underneath the cap. the problem i forgot to mention is that the car will like crank for a split second when having its fit and then shut off, i have to push in on the gas while trying to crank it for 5 seconds then let it sit for a hour or 3 before it starts again.
