Default Car dying problem, need advice

My sister is having a problem with her 92 Integra where it would constantly die when starting up first thing in morning. She would need to keep on gasing it for the car to stay on. After gasing it for about 5 minutes the car would drive normally without any problems. What do you guys think the problem might be? What should I check for?
Thanks

Humm I did a regular maintenance on her not too long ago. Could this be a faulty cold idle control problem?
