Default d15b6 block + d16z6 head + y8 .025 headgasket =10.55 cr ratio mini me...

do you guys think that the d15b6 rods and pistons can handle it? a stock d15b6 yields a 9.6 cr ratio but then the rods and bearings are so much more smaller than a regular si rod. the regular si rods have a 1.77" diameter ID and the hf rods have a 1.49" diameter ID. what do you guys think? just going into a 95 civic to replace the very tired d16z6.

go for it its just a single cam.

i have see those motors hold up for a long time like that. just get some head studs.

but then wait..i just thought about it...the crx hf is only a 8 valve engine and the pistons only have two valve reliefs...the head is a 16 valve from a d16z6...i hope that i have enough clearance..

PTV clearance is an issue.

a d15b2/d15b7 block can be picked up extremely easily and with very little money.
