I'm trying to find out if i should be using the d16y8's timing gear on the block or can i just use the D15's timing gear?

Are they different? I'm asking because im having timing issues.

I'm running a JDM D15B With D16y8 head.

actually you should be fine you could be off by a tooth though when installiing the head
or you can adjust the dizzy by a couple of degrees if you had everything on tdc when reinstalling the head with this combo it should run fine with the cam gear that you have.

i am not sure if you have done this already but set the timing again
jump that wire that is next to one to check the engine codes
that is usually on the passenger side of the car and use a timing gun you can buy one @ kragen
autozone or pepboys
and also again with setting timing you may have to adjust the dizzy to get the timing correct as well when doing this

Sorry if this is off topic, but does anyone know the fuel injector size on a 3 stage obd2 d15b. I cant seem to find info on the injector size of this exact motor, just usdm d15's please only reply if you know for sure... i am having problems with it
