hey guys recently bought a 98 civic ek with a d15z4 motor that was blown...my friend offered me his motor in the mean time which is a D15b w/ P2A-6 head...
i have no information on this combination but all i can say its rather beefy for a 1500..no software added yet

can any one shed light on this motor and set up?

Not understanding "beefy", you just said you had no information on it.

The only reference for a P2A head code, referenced from here, seems to be from a D16Y4. Makes me think you have a 1.6L head on a 1.5L block. Sort of like the typical D16Y8 head on the D15B7 block setup.

Not sure if that tidbit is helpful for you.

On another site it was stating P2A-8,9 and 10 as being the SOHC OBD1 ZC motor heads from 1996+

P2A is a 96 and up non vtec head like used on the Y7. The 96 and up non vtec D15B uses the same casting.
