d15b swap in, throwing cel code 20
because of the lack of p28 ecu's available(damn lsvtec's) im currently running my d15b on a jdm pr3 ecu for the time being, im throwing cel code 20 wich is electrical load detector or malfunctioning sensor, could this be because of the lack of a knock sensor?(which pr3 ecu looks for but dseries motors dont have) any light that could be shed on this would be greatly appreciated. only other problem i could think of is a short somewhere in the electrical system. car runs fine, just annoying to see a cel on.

ELD is something underneath the fuse box on some cars.. not sure what cars or years.. as long as its running fine then i would say dont worry about it

Re: d15b swap in, throwing cel code 20 (Hybrid95CivicEX)
yeah i guess if its not broken i wont fix it. im also hoping that when i change to either a p28 or a p08(whats suppose to run the d15b) the code will disappear. it just seems odd that im not throwing a knock sensor code but im throwing this code. thanks for your reply and your input.

not sure if you are interested or not, but I got an ECU here for a D15B(JDM), but I believe it's an automatic one. I'll sell cheap though if you want it.

all fuel injected honda/acuras have an eld so if youre having this problem now changing the ecu wont help unless the ecu is bad. the eld (definition) detects excesive amperage draw (load) on the electrical circuits that govern the headlights, fuel injection, charging system etc. the prime symptom of an electrical overload is a drivability problem, usually when the engine is idling. get one from a junf yard and switch it out, it may fix your problem eventhough they rarely go out.
