d15b swap ecu needed for start?
i did a d15b7 to d15b swap, Let me sum this up for everyone, I have spark, timing is correct,Fuel is priming,Compression is 160+ across, All grounds are correct, but it is not starting, it turns over but doesnt start, but i havent boughten the p28 ecu yet which means i have not wired the vtec and the oil pressure switch yet, do i need those for the car to start?

you dont need vtec wired but im pretty sure you do need the correct ecu for the engine. My d15b isnt running off of a p28 though. i believe is a p06. p28 are for z6 and y8 i believe but dont quote me on that.

Re: d15b swap ecu needed for start?
Is it the obd1 D15 or the 3 stage Vtec D15B? The ecu for the obd1 D15 is the p08, but the p28 from the D16Z6 will work just fine.
