Using a vtec pcm and d16z6 harness.
everything is plugged in where it should be.
Used the z6 intake on the d15b obd 2 long block.
dobu need to switch pins or something?

Re: D15b p28 Ecu codes 3(map) and 21(vtec) help!!
It’s a 95 chassis sedan.
Had the z6 in it that I removed.
bought a obd2 d15b, with y7 trans. Installed the unit,
but found out had auto trans p28, so put a manual p28 in, got rid of the lock up code.
My codes 3 and 21 are hard codes, weren’t there with the z6 in it previously.

Re: D15b p28 Ecu codes 3(map) and 21(vtec) help!!
For those who took the time to reply. Thank you.
Turned out the chassis harness was for a 1.5 non vtec.
but the engine was a d16z6 with proper engine harness.
Quite misleading.
pcm was a p28 auto trans
not equipped with vtec (3 pins missing from pcm to engine)
hardwired a p28 manual trans to solenoid. All was solved. Runs great.
Be aware of shotty work, and plan on tracing things back to the source. The d15b is a rather easy swap to do, but without proper wiring, won’t work. Wanted to close this thread whilst I had time.
thank you all for your help.
