d15b at the CA REf station??
My friend attempted to smog his car at a smog station. The problem is he forgot to erase the yellow "D15B" writing off the valve cover. So i guess the msog guy looked at it and sent him to the ref. The ref wont pass the car. The idiot worker told me it need to be hooked up to a 1.5 liter USDM equivelant. I told him its hooked up to d15b7 specs. He said thats not a vtec motor. I told him there is no USDM equivelant 1.5 liter VTEC. He said the VX motor. I told him thats a completely different vtec, plus it has EGR and a 5 wire O2 sensor and its a 2valve 4 valve economy vtec. I asked if i can set it up with a non vtec ecu and remove the vtec solenoid. The idiot says "no, cause its still a vtec motor". So basically, there is no freakin way to hook this thing up so it passes. I told the moron that the only USDM equivelant is the d16z6, At this point ******** proceeds to tell me that i cant pass it as a d16z6 cause its 1.6 liters not 1.5 liters. But THERE NO FREAKIN POSSIBLE WAY TO HOOK THIS THING UP IN a 1.5 LITER CONFIGURATION!!! WTF!!!! Anyone ever pass a d15b at the ref? Or is there no possible way?!!!!
