I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you personally. YOU are the reason that civic drivers get no respect in the GTA. I think it is safe to to say that you have none of the up grades that would make this kind of driving safe on the track (ie brakes, tires, common sense), LET ALONE THE STREET! YOU are the reason others get pulled over and harassed for no good reason.
Please just sit down and re-think what you have just asked. A ten year old could press the gas pedal down on the high way in fifth gear and wait for top speed. This takes no skill.
Learn to DRIVE your car. Why not look into autocross. It doesnt cost much, you can even take a stock car.

I would think that's just about as fast as it can go, in fact i'm impressed it can get there at all. Did it take 10 full miles to get to that speed?

He's in Ontario, CA douchebag. 190kmh = 118.75 mph
To the original poster, who's also a douchebag for wanting to know how fast he can go...near-stock SOHC powered civics have been known to top out in the 125-130 range. I wouldn't do this though unless you're on a track or other controlled environment.

Top speed runs are fun as hell, providing they are done where theres minimal or no traffic, and where theres noone to see you do it, your all set, theres no need to be gay about it, noone said he did it on young street.

Then why the expletive were you suprised it got up that high, and made the stupid comment that it took "10 miles" to get up that fast? SOHC civics frequently trap in the high 80's...118 is nowhere close to the threshold.

a 1.5 no vtec with long gears? yeah, i would say 118 is damn close to its threshold. Maybe some sohc civics trap in the high 80's, but as far as single cam setups go, he has one of the slower ones. I know 10 miles is an exaggeration, but he definitely covered a lot of ground trying to get there, which is incredibly stupid on public roads. Top speed runs are what kills people.

I went 120+ in my B7 going slightly uphill, I know his can go faster.

I was thinking the same thing (kph/mph), no stock civic does 180 mph Sorry...

Shure its understandable to see what your car can do, i topped my car out before and i know that if i chipped it, it will go maybe an extra 10 or 15 kph, but once was enough for me. Its stupid to risk others lives for your own fun. And yes if you didn't notice yet, civics are the cars most known for reckless driving and street racing so you're only adding to the trouble. Go to the race track and go fast in the corners, its way more fun than a burst of top speed for a few seconds, its also way safer.

it didnt take that long because it was 5 am saturday morning no cars, no risk, didnt take that long, maybe 2 km and its downhill, i will soon have si tranny, and vtec hooked up, im guessing around 135- 137 mph, down that hill with say 30 horse more and better gears

You do realize that the Si tranny has shorter gears which will give you better acceleration but a theoretical lower top speed right? I doubt you will hit 135-137mph.
Oh and I dont care how empty the road is and that no one is around, what happens when an animal jumps in front of you going ~120.... or you blow a tire at that speed. Either way there is not way you can know for sure someone else might not drive along. I just pray you dont cause harm to any innocent persons while attempting your stupidity.
edit: I will admit having tryed to find the top speed of my Civic but now I realize how unsafe, reckless, and stupid it was to try such a thing. That is why I advise against it and I will never attempt it again on public roads.
