Default Top Speed limited!

alright, issue here. So I own a 93 accord Lx, and it tops out at about 118. I have heard it mentioned that you can, by yourself, remove the governor holding back the top speed, theoretical (132). Can this actually be done? I must know! Thanks for any insight.

sounds like you have a JDM ecu in the car. you can't take off the governer by yourself, you'll need to have it taken off by a chiping service. the fields VTEC controller, Apex RSM, and other devices can take it off. they range from $75-$150 used.
