Default D series bottom ends...

whats up, im going to build up a d series beast, I have an a6 block right now, or should I just use the z6 block? im looking to run boost...

get a turbo kit
and then you can run boost

Edelbrock makes about 170 HP with stock bottom end

Z6 block and pistons are a lower compression number.

Use the Z6 block for the lower compression as Eee Pee stated...there are several people on this board pushing 250 WHP on stock internals (with a shitload of tuning though). If you want to run more than 10-12 psi, i'd suggest getting forged pistons, eagle rods, arp head studs and rod bolts, and think about sleeving your block.
