cx head on ex block

Default cx head on ex block

would that work...a freinds car was totalled and the insurance is about to tow it away....i dont have enough time to swap out the whole motor so i was wondering if i was able to put my cx head on his ex block..if so is anything required??...car was hit but not that bad but they still totalled it...it is still drivable so i was just wanting to swap out a few parts.....im not sure if the insurane is gonna check it or not...but i just want to make it drivable again if i do swap the head jsut in case..so please let me know asap

but it would run like ****.
not that it matters since insurance is taking it away

so you want his ex vtec head on your cx block right , if thats the case yeah it would work but like sohcmydohc it will run like complete ****

im putting the ex head on the cx block..i know that will work...so cx head will work on ex block...k thanx...ex head on cx block runs like ****??..i thought it was just like any other mini me swap...i am planning to build the bottom end later anyways so i didnt think it matters....

yank the whole motor, i mean crap, its goin to take roughly an hr to get the head off with some experience. it only takes me 2 hrs to pull my entire engine. with help from a friend ive had my head off in 1/2hr w/o air tools.

i dont have any tools available at his place to yank out the whole motor...car is not drivable because accident damaged his suspension....but ive already removed and replaced the head...took about 2 1/2 hours......thanx for the post anyhow

yea i swapped out a bucnh of shiet..didnt get the tranny tho..plannin to go fi so thought id stick with the cx...i think i did the right thing plus i didnt have enough time to take everything out..i had to do it outside..and it got dark real quick..and didnt even have the best of tools
