Don't know if their different man. If ya look up suspension parts online, nobody that I've bought from ever specifies CX,VX,DX,LX,EX,Si, models for springs, shocks, ect.
What year CX do you have?
What year Si suspension are you getting?
Those question need to be answered here first.

Re: CX getting Si suspension? (Kid1320)
I know at least the front LCAs, all four shocks and springs, and the rear sway bar (CX doesn't have one) are different. Of course, rear discs on the Si, but not on other Civics. Not sure about rear control arms... probably no difference.
I've read about a few minor differences like larger hubs or wheel bearings on the Si for better cooling, but I'm not sure about that.
You don't see different aftermarket stuff for the Si and other Civics because there's no difference in the way the shocks, springs, or control arms mount. Most people do similar upgrades to an Si or a non-Si, so companies don't make different parts. An OEM Honda parts list does have different part numbers for Si and non-Si stuff... so there are differences in OEM parts.

Re: CX getting Si suspension? (kommon_sense)
everything should be bolt on. it is similar to doing the 5 lug swap onto your car. although, you will need an e-brake cable from an 99+ si or you can modify the stock cx e-brake cable in order for it to work. also, does the rear si suspension come with the trailing arms?

DO NOT PUT Si Springs and Shocks on a non-Si.
Unless you want the 4X4 look. One guy did it (G6-G6) and became the laughing stock for a long time. There are so many suckers that bid for them on ebay, and sellers are not being fair in trying to sell their products. Yes, it bolts right on perfect. The heavier DOHC engine in the Si should give you that hint. Do not make the same mistake.

Re: CX getting Si suspension? (Kid1320)
I did a brake swap onto my dx and didn't touch the MC or proportioning valve. I have no problems. I used my stock rear LCAs. I think they are the same as the SI anyway. If he wants a sway bar up front later he will need SI front control arms. Rear SI sway bar will bolt onto stock LCAs... Those are my observations for the 99-00... Can someone else say for sure about the 96-98??? Umm... digging... nope nothing left that I can think of.

Problems as in not good braking. The smaller master cylinder doesn't move enough fluid to achieve quick and responsive braking.

Re: CX getting Si suspension? (1BlackHatch)
it's all bolt on, i did it to my 98 cx a while back. if i were you i would get the si mc while i was at it. the stock one will have more pedal travel after you switch the brakes. may as well get a better mc to match

Re: CX getting Si suspension? (snail)
i've got a '98 CX w/ '99/'00 Si front/rear suspension
i did the conversion this summer - very simple to do
make sure you also get the Si brake booster/master cylinder/proportioning valve
fronts you need the Si knuckle, caliper, rotor
rears you need the trailing arm, caliper, rotor
i also upgraded to stainless lines, powerslots, and good pads (poor-man's next best thing to a big brake conversion)
