Default CX 4 wire o2 sensor question

What exactly do you do to convert to a 4 wire o2 sensor? Anyone have a step-by-step guide? Thanks.

Converting from what? Typically, the 4 wire sensors employ a heater element that is switched on and off by the ECU, and a dedicated ground. That's what the extra wires are for.

Yes, you will need to convert to a 4 wire O2 sensor using a P28, even chipped.
To do this:

WHT wire goes to D14 which is O2 Sensor Input (needs to be a shielded wire with ground)
BLK wire goes to A6 which is Heater Control
GRN wire goes to D22 which is Sensor Ground
BLK wire goes to B1 or A25 which is Sensor voltage

The O2 sensor is usually located by the the header collector, however there should be a tap on the header for you to place the O2 sensor in.

good luck.

First off, we need to know which motor you're using, the year CX you have, and the ECU you plan on running. All these people that tell you to run wires to pin locations, or to splice wiring, are just telling you what they heard or did, but more importantly, you need the wiring diagrams, specifically for the motor you put in, and the wiring diagrams for your car. It's not the same for every setup.

will this work to convert an obd1 1-wire to a obd1 4-wire? my friend put a dx engine in his 93 cx and needs to convert the o2 sensor. he's using a 95 dx ecu.

one more question. the cx harness already has 1 black wire to the o2 sensor (obviously), so which of the 2 black wires from the new sensor would connect to that one?
