What do i need to hook up autometer boost gauge?
hey guys, i just bought an autometer boost gauge from a friend and i was wondering what fittings i would need to hook it up to my car, i also heard i should try to get a silicon hose rather than the hard plastic autometer includes with the gauge brand new, can anyone confirm or deny? thanks guys

you should be able the get the fittings that connect the plastic hose to the gauge at pep boys and while you are there buy a t fitting so that you can tap a vacumn source for the opposite end. shouldn't cost more than a couple of bucks

Yeah, try any parts store. I have always liked using rubber/silicone hose instead of the nylon tubing autometer gives you. Here's a pic of the installation sheet AM sends. Hope this helps even more.

^ see that thing called ferrule in the picture above. Do not over tighten the sealing nuts. you will crush that thing and it will not read the boost. I know i did it twice and kept having to reconnect the gauge. and use plumbers tape to seal those connections to cut down on leaks. use my many boost gauge installation mistakes to your advantage!

If you want to do this one which is more accurate. Any auto parts store will have vacuum lines and clamps.
