well for example if you are using ctr cams in an si you don't neccesarily have to change the valves and retainers but, if you did, you would be able to rev higher a little higher. With that you would need another ecu to permit such a thing. So they are similar but not the same.

No, they are not exactly the same.
Oh yeah, and try using the search next time. You should be able to find spring specs pretty easily.

I was not referring to valve springs as I know there is a difference between the two....I am selling these parts to a guy who owns a Si and I don't want to sell him valves and retainers if what he has is the same thing....Are the retainers the same thing in a CTR and a Si?...and also the valves?...If there is a difference what is the difference between the retainers and the valves?
