cruise control vacuum lines
what is the black plastic cylinder type thing in the drivers side corner near the firewall that the cruise control vacum lines go in and out of? doesn't look like it does anything important.. can i deal without it? i would have pics but i can't find a decent engine bay shot and can't upload any pictures right now. hope you guys know what im talking about.
also, can i hook a boost gauge up to those vacuum lines?

That's your cruise control unit, if you want cruise control leave it, if you don't take it out, but those lines will need to still be connected.
I don't know why you would put a boost gauge on it.

Re: cruise control vacuum lines (Bcuz)
because the vacuum line is connected to the manifold? i was under the impression you could tap into any vacuum line and it would be good for a boost gauge... where does everyone else tap it? the hose from the mani to the fpr?
im not sure what you mean by the cruise control unit... its just a little black plastic thing no bigger than my palm. doesn't look like it does anything, but it does have a vacuum line coming from the manifold into it, and then one coming from the cc unit into it.
