Default Cruise Control Button Removal

i want to remove all visible componets of my cruise control, and i was wondering what i should use to fill the hole on the steering wheel where the buttons were with? also, if i disconnect the the unit will this cause any problems with the ecu or things of that sort? thanks for the help. P.S. i know im supposed to plug the hole on the IM, and if you need it i have a 96 ex coupe

You can also try to put a gauge in there, I believe the ones that fit in those pillar pods (cant think of the exact the size right now) will fit in that hole with a little modification..

or

You can try to find one of those shift lights that some company (sorry dont know exactly) makes to fit that hole..

Use your imagination..
