Icon2 Cowl entry Question how do I stop this???

I have a question for you guys? On my hatchback on the wiper cowl the end of the cowl is broken a lil no major deal. But the question is when you have the blower motor installed and when you are driving your car in the rain when you have to that is, how do you not get water in your car? I took the blower box and ac core out and all I have now is the heater core left. but up top there is a big opening. Have you guys had this problem?
I know on top of the blower box is a flap with and it closes off to the open air. Its like a filter of some sort they were both torn and could leak some water into the cabin. but what if i wanted to remove them how do I not let water or any other debris in?

well i bought some gorilla super glue and tape. also got sponge weather stripping so many this will help I dont know if i am going to put the ac and blower box in since I dont have ac anymore. But I might put something over that opening to not let stuff in. Do any of you guys close that opening off when you are removing all the ac components?

Use some of that duct tape you have covering the ac plug.
IF this were me id get creative and just make a plastic or somesort of cover for it.

yeah I think that is what I am going to do. make a plastic box looking thing to keep the moisture out and debris. the water leaked down on my ecu. so that is why I have to fix this to daily my car again. In Florida it rains everyday in the summertime.
