H22's are pretty heavy for a civic. I would go with either a b16 or a b18c1. The b16 swap could be had for around $2500 and the b18c1 around $3300. Good luck.

Best bang for the $$$$ would be a c5(R). Cost is roughly $4,200.
If you want torque and don't care about vtec and all that, then get an LS. Cost would be around $900. You can find those cheap.
If you want torque and vtec then get a b18c. Cost would be around #3,300.
If you do care about vtec and no torque then get a b16(torqueless wonder). Cost is about $2,200-$2,500 where ever you can find it.
H22 is a pain in the ***. I use to have it in a hatch. Custom motor mounts, axels, wire harness, ECU, etc. etc. It was strong and great but your gonna have to blow alot of $$$$ for suspension.
