my understanding is that he did
that is why i missed him at one point
but i searched for like 4 hours...
there is no way he was in the burnout for that long

Yep, he was in it! He won his qualifying run vs some Civic. Then comes the final. He took second only to some turbo 240.

Also worth mentioning was a 2JZ Toyota pick-up in the comp.

Very glad I was able to see this car up close and in-person. It truly is a marvel of engineering expertise. Congrats!

Someone post up whether he enters Sundays event, I won't be attending.

was at nopi for 7 hours on Saturday (4 was spent looking for you)
was at nopi for 5 hours on Sunday (3-4 was again spent looking for you)
so in short ya I'm a little pissed off at the lack of effort that you had spent on this event.
and I'm confused as to why you wouldn't have gone all out after all the work that you have invested into this project...
I was expecting a wall of people around your car at all times... but NO ONE even knew of you...
well... in conclusion nopi SUCKED this year (only because it was a waste of time looking for civette)

And did he just say he lost a lot of respect for him because he didn't get a special phone call? Seriously... how busy do you think Civette was during NOPI? It's imaginable that there was just so much going on that he did not remember or get a chance to call this stranger online. I probably wouldn't want to call him anyway... I don't want a stranger that's this into my car having my phone number.

I'm usually a stiff doubter / naysayer of such projects, but thats usually because they don't have such a ridiculous amount of attention to detail as this car does. Thank you for building and sharing such a unique project with us, you truly did this right. Can't wait to see what your next concoction is. Good for you.

and on H-T longer than most so i understand the newbness
