Default Correct Term

Ok so I drive a 92 civic hatch and one guy says its an "EG6" while another says its an "EH2"

Which is the right acronym?


...im sure someone is more jdm than me so please inform, ive already searched

this is refferring to the letters in your VIN number. Most 92-95 hatchbacks in the united states carry "EH2" in the number. "EG6" is the model carried in Japan... I'm not sure which one (it might be the SiRII), but that's how I understand it.

its on your VIN. eh2 should be the proper term. EG is a more general term for the 92-95 civics. only cars that say EG in the vin are the del sols

Yeah see this dude goes duude wtf is an eh2 and i said its a 92-95 civic hatchback but he said whoever told me that is wrong....but my car isnt from japan so im right

Aren't 93-95 4Dr.s EG8?
By the way, your statement is entirely incorrect unless you add that it only pertains to U.S. cars.

also "SI" del sol's are eh6's.....but the "s" and "vtec" model are eg1 & eg2 respectivly
