Default Coolent Leak

I have a huge coolent leak, car is a 89 civic w/ 140k motor.

I found out it is leaking where the water pump is, any idea of what is wrong?????

check your water pump. check the rubber hoses for cracks and normal wear and tear.

i will try to replace the water pump tomorrow, but my friend said is the gasket

when i add in water through the radiator, water comes right back out from where the leak is at the water pump location, it wasn't that bad before, now it is completely leaking whenever i drive.

first, make sure none of your hoses got popped off

second, check your water neck and water pump for damage

third, let us know WHERE it's leaking and we'll help you diagnose
