Default Some Civic Questions

Ok, I dont no to much about civics never really had much intrest into them cause of the popularity of them. But I am getting a new car and i want a civic. I want something to fix up. Im pretty sure im looking for a about a 93-97. If there is diffrent types like ex etc. What is the difrence in them and the others? I no a decent amount about cars just not much about civics. And Im not looking for a fast car i mean it would heart > but enogh to where i can get on it when i need to. Because I know civics are not the fastest cars in the world "Well what i have seen race or raced" so i dont really want a fast car but i want something that handles good and is going to be a good long lasting car. Just some suggestion would be nice and explanations and the difrrent types and all. I want to really just fix up the looks of one not the engine. Oh yea btw price is an issue

Thanks in Advance

since price is an issue, you'll probably be aiming for the years 1992-1995. CX is the lightest chassis designation, EX is the highest trim level aside from Si. If you want some power and some potential as well as the comfort of a nicer car, get an Si hatchback (the only chassis style they produced the Si in from 1992-1995). She comes with four speakers, A/C, sunroof, electric windows and locks (sometimes) and the peppy, if not quick, D16Z6 engine.

That engine will hold you over until you can buy some go-fast goodies like an H22A swap (put you in the low 13's) or a turbo kit (low 14's). Both are great ideas for the (relatively) heavier Si.

Hope I helped.

Ok thanks for the advice. Are the SI cheap?? And what will they usually run the 1/4 in stock?? How much would it cost to do that engine swap? Do usually no what one goes for? And does it take alout of work to make em look good. Im not wanting to put to much money because like i said i do have a limited income.
Thanks

Finding an 92-95 Si is rare. If you have a limited income, I suggest you don't get a swap. Everything depends on how much money you have to play with. A D16Z6 stock could net you High 16's-15's, it all depends on the driver. We're not too much into body kits here, as you'll come to notice after a little while. Good luck and welcome.
