Default Coolant Temp Gauge Reading Low..? Where Does Yours Sit at?

This is on a fully warmed up car. 25 minute drive mixed city/highway. Car is a 95 LX 4door D15b7 California spec- if that makes any difference.

The temp gauge is reading pretty low compared to my previous Honda. Could it be an opened thermostat?

Your gauge is reading too low. Replace the thermostat. Buy OEM.

It's been discussed already recently:

seems like a thermostat stuck open.

you can test the gauge itself by unplugging the 1-wire sensor under the dizzy, then ground it and turn the key to ON. the gauge should rise to H.
