Have any of u guys sent your computers out to jet to get them reprogramed? and if so what kind of performance have u gained/lost and how was the service and turn around time?

most people usually only reprogram their computers if theyre running pretty heavily modified naturally aspired engines, or forced induction setups, Theres not really a reason to do it unless its for one of those 2 reasons.

agreed. Doing your ecu should come close to last, because if you just reprogram it and then get more things then it will have to continually get redone.

seriously. if you do research, youll find out how Honda ECUs work. But to simplify for ya, the stock sensors are very good, and with a small computer for the MAP sensor on turbo'd Hondas, they run wonderfully. Reprogramming it on a turbod car will help its efficiency and will gain some power. But on a stock car, reprogramming will give you no noticable gain in power or torque. Youd notice a cold air intake's power gain more than that. Hondas aren't really "detuned" via ECUs, whereas USDM BMWs are limited on certain power and speed limits, and those owners can get upto like 60hp from a new chip. On like a 96 Civic, reprogramming the fuel mapping will not come close to that gain, but on a turbo'd one, a tad. The best reprogramming you can do after a few minor mods is to reset the ECU and your car will adapt and learn there is more air and more exhaust flow, and thus alter the fuel amount and timing, helping give a little more HPs.
