Re: comments for my homemade headlight scoop
Hahah shouldve made one right haha well heres some pics of it I took while in the making
I was actually going to make a DIY but i thought it wouldnt pull through heres some pics.
Here I layed out the sides. I used leftover fiberglass repair kit and then waited a day for curing.
started sanding down the side to make it a little bit more representable.
This picture I used leftover body filler so i can hide the fiberglass on the outside part of the headlight.
after sanding down looked like this, then after the outside you wokr on the inside part because the fiberglass wont look all uniformed itll have corners and all so I used body filler made it nice and and smooth. the inside will look like this.
until it looked like this.
And this.
then the test fit on the car itself.

I'm going to make one with some lights from another car. I'll post a thread when I do it. If it doesn't work, I'll hate myself for wasting $60.

i got a set of headlights free(eh2) from a buddy and he had spraypainted eyelids on them....simple paint thinner and a rag.....takes some time a scrubbing, good arm workout..lol but it wont haze/discolor/damage the headlight or corner light
by the way it turned out great. now you need a 2" to ?" coupler to hook it up to your intake arm......
i thought of doing this with my eh2, i have a few sets of spare headlights. i was just going to remove the glass and open up the hole a bit in the back to a 2.5" by just plastic welding on a small peice of pvc pipe
by the way it turned out great. now you need a 2" to ?" coupler to hook it up to your intake arm......
