Default Cold driveablility issues

I have a 97 Civic LX 5spd with DC Sports header, open element intake and GReddy cat back.
When I start it up in the AM, it doen't like to idle. If I drive off immediately, it stutters and I could floor it w/out it moving until it clears it's throat. It runs well if I let it run for a few minutes before driving. What's going on?
Thanks!

i think your engine is warming itself up. I have a 99 civic ex it does the same thing in morning. And my fathers car does it too. Probably the engine is too cold to run at a normal idle?
