Coilovers are stuck....
So today I put back my summer tires, and decided to lower my car abit more...
I did successfully on the front coilovers...
BUT.. for the rear ones.. I was able to get those 2 plates loose, however, the top plate is REALLY hard to turn it down... it's like it's on the wrong thread or something.. what can cause this?
I have already sprayed alot of WD-40.. didn't help at all... how do i fix it??
thanks.. here are 2 pics of how low it is now...

you might want to get a strong water pressure of some kind and just blast it straight into the sleves.. this will help remove some dust from it..

ditto
I did it when I removed the coilovers though, the things were a mess. From now on I think I will maintain them a little better and use the toothbrush more often.

My friend had this happen to his before. What we did was take the sleeve off the car, lay it on the ground, spray about 1/2 a bottle of WD-40 on it and then we used our weight and stepped on those little perch adjustment tools until we broke it free. How come you want to lower your car more anyways? Personally, I wouldn't want my car lower than you have it right now (tires just barely touching the fenders).

Re: (cream)
try drenching it with wd40 and waiting 5-10 min then try to turn it...if that don't work use break cleaner like someone said earlier..i have used engine degreaser once but it took off the clearcoat on my sustec pros..now one of them is not as shiney as the others

Re: (cream)
thanks guys
i was using a toothbrush to clean it already, didn't help...
and i did jacked up my car.... there were so much rust on the springs and stuff....
Yea, i think this is low enough.... so that's why I stopped... I did manage to lower the rear a bit more... it used too much of my strength.... so then i gave up..
Anyways, I guess I will just leave it like that..
thanks everybody !
I wish i have the money to paint my whole car...
here are two more pictures for you !

Re: (TurBoXBirD16)
Same problem here! I have the H&R full coilovers. The collar was VERY hard to turn, so i figured i may have stripped some of the threads (being that the threads are INSANELY thin).
I tried for some strange reason, to lower it again just recently, and it worked just fine! What i did was lube her up with some WD-40 a month or two earlier. I'm guessing that did the trick!
Goodluck
What kind of sleeves do you have anyway?

heh you should find something to connect that intercooler to. atleast if youre going for the turbo appearance use some pipe fittings and extend the IC so you cant see the end of the pipes on the tank. heh
