Codes p1870, p0141, p1509, p1882 after swapping 99 D16Y5 and auto ECU into 5-speed
So i swamped out my mini me for a hx engine but i got the auto ecu and the auto wiring from the hx but i am running a manual tranny and i am curently in the progress of trying to get a manual ecu for the car but my problem is that when i start the car i have to keep the rpms at about 2k for about a min in cold weather or i bogs down and dies? any suggestion on what this could be cause i changed both of my o2 sensors

i think that i need a
so i got a 99 hx swaped over but it was from an auto so i got the auto wiring and the auto ecu so now i want to know if i need to get one of these and will i need to get a new wiring harness as well?
p2n-
A32 - 99-00 5sp
A33 - 99-00 5sp
L33 - 99-00 5sp
how hard are these to find and about what is the price range on them

Re: 99 hx problems
Your auto ECU is throwing the two P1800 codes because you have a manual transmission rather than an HX CVT.
I would assume that codes P0141 and P1509 are thrown because the secondary O2 sensor and IACV are disconnected. The latter is causing the idle problem.

Re: 99 hx problems
Primary O2 also needs to be converted from a 4 wire to a 5 or 7 wire as well (manual HX primary O2 sensors are expensive in and around the $400 range IIRC, because they're a weird wideband O2)

Re: 99 hx problems
The egr is different as well from the auto and manual so if you convert to manual you will need to replace that as well, also all the 96-00 hx's were obd2a so any p2n from that range will work and the "L" series are the california ones.

The thing is that it is auto wiring in the car so both the o2 sensors are hooked up

OP, I 'm having that same issue. Is there a way to figure out if your ecu is for an auto. I'm a noob
