I dont know what this means.... i left my lights on at my parents house over the weekend and when i came back my battery was dead of course, so i jumped the car and the clock was reset, but the radio wont turn on and has "CODE" shown on the front. The headunit also has a "Theft Prevention" light blinking next to the screen... it only blinks when the car is locked so i dunno if that has anything to do with it... i can take a picture to show the headunit if you all need. Thanks.

 

you need to enter a code to get it to work again. A code card should have come w/ the car if you bought it new, it's like the size of a credit card. Check you glove compartment, see if it's in there.

 

nope, didnt buy the car new, and i know there isnt a card in there... crap, ill go look again but if i dont have it, what do i need to do?

 

there's a thread on here with the codes listed. its not a big problem. worse case scenario get an alpine head unit
