Default Code 6 and Code 86 differences? Need some help

6 ECT - water temperature sensor

86 ECT sensor - Cooling System

i'm getting a code 6 on my b18c, but cant seem to find the correct info on which sensor it is.

the 1 by the lower rad hose, or the one under the dizzy.

and does anyone know where i can find schematics? i got the honda manual, and it has nothing on the water temp sensor.

Under the distributor are two coolant sensors, a 1-wire sending unit for the dash gauge and a 2-wire sensor for the ECU. It's the 2-wire sensor that is throwing both codes.

gotcha. found the sensor, Now, i've looked on the civic manual and cant find schematics for this sensor to the ECU.

some other info from fftechnet

http://technet.ff-squad.com/wiring.obd1.htm

pin out from ECT Sensor to ECU is "D13" does not have wire color red/white OR yel/blue.

and it does not ring out from ECT sensor to D13.

Yeah, the problem is with the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, not the switch on the thermostat housing.

yea, no i figured that. But when the motor was pulled, there was no codes so i much rather check the wiring diagram first, before i go replacing sensors that where fine before.
