Default Code 41 problem

Okay so I extended the plug on my harness to reach to the back of my ex mani where the o2 sensor is on my 95 jdm SIR 2 B16a swap. Its a 95 civic ex..Where the o2 sensor was in front
I reset my ecu and its still throwing code 41 for the o2.
So I look at the wires coming from the o2 sensor, and theres 3 wires only, I know i didnt mix the wires up when extending the plug on the harness, Idid 1 wire at a time until all 4 were soldered up. Now on the JDM harness it has 4 wires for the plug, but the sensor only has 3. Im assuming this wasnt a problem but is there any way to test if my o2 sensor is bad?
Also, im not getting a knock sensor CEL and I dont have my knock sensor wired up yet..So I figured I would be getting one for the knock sensor

I just wired up an o2 for my car. It was obd2. I know you are doing this on an obd1 but the sensor may be different enignes. You even said the number of wires is different. You need a 12V source, signal source which may have some current, ground of some sort, and one that drives the signal. My reply may be confusing but there may be one wire that has two functions since you have 4 wires on the harness and 3 on the o2 sensor.

But it is the problem. Get the correct O2 sensor, whether it be a Denso DirecFit or an actual OEM, get a 4-wire O2.
