code 41 primary oxygen sensor heater
i have a 97 cx w/a 00 b16, im runnin a obd2-1 harness w/a chipped ecu, now at first when i was obd2 i had this code but then i went obd1, and ran a skunk2 chip, i now have a new custom program but am throwing a cel 41, my car is only using one oxygen sensor, the one in the back of the headers, anyone know why all of a sudden this might of popped up, before it only showed when i was obd2 but now its showin up w/this new program

I have the same thing w/o the chipped ecu. Mine also does this but not always. I was told that the whole O2 should be replaced to fix the problem, but I am not sure if that will permanently fix the problem.

well it might have just went bad and yes you have to change the whole o2 sensor as the heater is inside of it

nothing is permanent. they go when they want.

Re: (civictildeath)
i just got done playing with my ecu's
i threw a code 41 with a VX ECU but not with a DX ECU. im thinking this will relate the fact its a 5wire O2 sensor.

Re: code 41 primary oxygen sensor heater (92eg6)
primary o2 is the only o2 sensor so its always going to be there 41 is always going to be there no matter what ecu you have and with the cx and vx different wireup and also different temp because of the range in vtec
or better yet lack of
