code 41 primary oxygen sensor heater

Default code 41 primary oxygen sensor heater

i have a 97 cx w/a 00 b16, im runnin a obd2-1 harness w/a chipped ecu, now at first when i was obd2 i had this code but then i went obd1, and ran a skunk2 chip, i now have a new custom program but am throwing a cel 41, my car is only using one oxygen sensor, the one in the back of the headers, anyone know why all of a sudden this might of popped up, before it only showed when i was obd2 but now its showin up w/this new program

ne 1? its weird cause my ecu's chipped n i thought 0bd1 ecu's wouldnt throw dat code?

anyone... bump cause i got the same prob too... primary oxy sensor heater.... what's the heater part... and does it require you to replace the whole o2 sensor???

the heater is where it gets power from. it could be a bad wire or needs to be replaced

hmm so i guess a whole o2 sensor should change this? the weird thing is it never showed w/my skunk2 chip n only w/my obd2 p72

I have the same thing w/o the chipped ecu. Mine also does this but not always. I was told that the whole O2 should be replaced to fix the problem, but I am not sure if that will permanently fix the problem.

well it might have just went bad and yes you have to change the whole o2 sensor as the heater is inside of it

i just got done playing with my ecu's
i threw a code 41 with a VX ECU but not with a DX ECU. im thinking this will relate the fact its a 5wire O2 sensor.

primary o2 is the only o2 sensor so its always going to be there 41 is always going to be there no matter what ecu you have and with the cx and vx different wireup and also different temp because of the range in vtec
or better yet lack of
