Default Code 15 (ignition output signal), intermittent. KILLING ME!

Alright, I have a 95 hatch with a B16A2 in it, VTEC ECU with Neptune. Has been running fine for about a year AS IS, but then suddenly, it started cutting out whenever it's under load, more than about 70-75% throttle, and above 4k rpm. Finally the other day it dies all together. CEL comes on, code 15. Now it will do it under about any condition, but mostly with a lot of throttle input. I pull daignostic flow charts for it, go through them all, and find nothing. I check, wiggle, pull, push, shake, jiggle, and everything else you can think of on every inch of that wire, as well as every connector along the way, and cannot duplicate the issue. Sure as ****, as soon as I start driving it again, there it goes. Now I'm lost as to where to go with this thing.

Is there any chance that this could be a problem in the distributor iteslf? Usually, in my experience anyway, if the ignitor goes or anything like that, it's a done deal, not intermittent. Also, could this possibly be in the ignition switch? I wiggle the key around all I can, and it still doesn't cause or fix the problem, but that's sort of the end of the line for that circuit, so I wonder. Anyway, ANY help with this would be MUCH appreciated.

I'm at the point on the flow charts where it says "replace with a known good ECU and re-test", but again, if it were ECU related, wouldn't it just **** out and be done? Also, this just started happening out of no where, not after work was done on the car, so it's not as if something got hit while I was working on it or something like that, you know?

I would borrow someone's ecu and dizzy to troubleshoot your car. swap out the ecu and try it, if the problem goes away, your ecu is bad.

If the problem is still there, swap out the dizzy and test it. if the problem goes away, your dizzy is bad. if not, time to start seriously shooting wires.
