CNG Civic GX 1998 model. Possible to take out cng system&adapt to your ride?

CNG Civic GX 1998 model. Possible to take out cng system&adapt to your ride?
So here is deal living in California just sucks for smog. I was thinking since the 98 Civic GX uses CNG . This would be great to take off the whole fuel system and transfer over to my civic eg for smog. I think if I can get it smogged using this setup. It should be smog and carb exempt... Could I be incorrect. Also what about the computer>?
