clutch or tranmission?
Today i was driving and all of a sudden it was real hard to put the car into 1st or 2nd gear. I pulled over and turned it off. When i turned it back on and hit the clutch the pedal stayed down. Is my clutch gone? Or can it be something with the clutch cylinder? I have a 93 civic ex 5 speed hydraulic transmission and an act 4 puck clutch.

WTF are you talking about.
When the clutch pedal doesn't come back up, that means there is no resistance. Which can mean a few things:
-Leak in the clutch system (bad master cylinder, slave cylinder, busted clutch line)
-Clutch is fucked. Bad pressure plate, throwout bearing.

Reminds of a shady mechanic who should be working out in the middle of nowhere.
I would suggest checking the master cylinder, as I had to replace mine due to the same problem. The car wouldn't go into gear and would rest at the bottom of the floor. I would suggest if you're not going to fix this immediately, that you carry some DOT 3 or 4 in the trunk and fill up if and when it gets low.

I don't think that the syncros would effect the clutch pedal. All they would do is make it rough to shift lot of grinding and stuff. Check the master and slave cyl that sounds like your prob

There can be alot of diferent problems between the master and slave on could be bad. Also lift the ruber boot on the slave and there should be a cable that goes into a metal peice coming out of the tranny. See if you can move that peice around you sould not be able to if so I would say there is somthing wrong with the though out bearing or the slave not the master or the lines

Re: (sharktlp)
Today I took a mechanic to check out the car. He was bleeding the clutch and the pedal did not come up. He said there was no leak and that the problem is the disc. My question is will it be safe to order just the 4 puck disc? or do i need to order a new pressure plate as well.

Re: (sharktlp)
get a whole new clutch. I really do not think that it is the disc or the clutch because I can't see what would go wrong that would make your car do that. If he is certain that it is not the master or the slave cyl. then it could be the shift fork, or the bearing, maybe the pressure plate. If it is the clutch it is the clutch and pressure plate, but I guess this guy know what he is talking about. Regaurdless get both the clutch and pressure plate
