Default CLUTCH & TOB bearings

Whats up guys, I already tried searching this topic and found many useful posts, but nothing that would answer my question. Around last June/July I put a new exedy clutch on this 96 single cam motor that im currently using in my 92 Si hatchback with my 92 si trans. Clutch works fine and about a month ago my throw out bearing started making some noise. 3 Weeks later I'm having some fun and usually I'm able to chirp 2nd gear but not anymore. The clutch feels like its slipping when I shift really fast at high rpm's, feels like my foot is still on the clutch for an extra 2 seconds when it's not. I've tried the 5th gear on a hill test, and the rpms don't go anywhere so I was wondering since the 5th gear test failed to show my clutch was slipping, could my bad throw out bearing make it seem like my clutch is slipping? I know the best way to find this out is to take it all apart and I am going to be doing this, but when I take something apart I like to have all the parts that I'm going to replace in front of me so I can get it done quick so I'm trying to figure out if I should buy a clutch now.

Cliffnotes: Would a bad Throw out bearing make it seem as if my clutch is slipping when its really not?

Thanks a lot HT...I really appreciate your help

I had the same problem a while back. It was a B series but it ended up just being the slave cylinder. I was thinking about getting that exedy clutch for by 96 DX. Besides what you are experiencing now is it a good clutch?

BAD throw out bearing can cause your slave cylinder to take a crap. Don't ask me how but I seen it happen twice once on my buddies 240, and once on civic.

Either way I would take off your slave and take a look at it, see if there is any leaks, check the master also, bleed them and see if you feel any difference. Have a buddy press down on the clutch see if the fork engages and disanges fully.

Then pull of the tranny inspect/replace the TOB and inspect the clutch and the pressure plate. Also check for oil leaks around that area. Make sure you don't breath that stuff in because it's known to cause cancer.
