Default Clutch problem, Clutch engaues too soon

I exited off the highway doing about 50 when I hit the brakes they hit the floor, so im like wft and have to drive home about 10 miles in traffic using my handbrake.

When I pulled into my apartment I noticed that where my usual firction point is (about 2/3 of the way from the floor) has moved to about 1/2 of an inch from the floorboard, second wtf for the day. There is fluid in the reseviore and no visiable signs of leaking. But I have noticed a weird friction when I press the clutch pedel...piolit bearing, pressure plate or shot disc, idk...

Im not usually one to ask questions being that I know how to search, but the only information I found lead me to believe that the clutch cylinder was leaking, which it is not, and HT search is still down wft #3.

Please help thanks!

You will need to check that the slave cylinder is actually pushing the release bearing fork adequately. You will need someone to help you with watching this movement. If your throwout bearing fork is moving properly......rats, blown clutch.

Damn, I have no idea how to check that, can you post a link for a walk-through?

Man - you have to press the clutch pedal and someone have to watch is the actual bearing fork moving or not.
Bearing fork is in the front of the engine, between the block and the gearbox.
If you get someone to push the clutch pedal couple times and you`ll be looking in that area and if the fork will move - you`ll see it
If you won`t see any movement - there is soemthing wrong with the clutch hydro installation - pump, sylinders, maybe the installation catched some air inside ?

If there was air in the lines I would have noticed it right after the swap right? Because I just noticed this problem yesterday and I have had the swap for about 2 months now.

I can help you with this but you're going to need to do some work on your own.

Download the helm pdf manual at http://hondatech.info/downloads/Auto/Manuals/

Look through it and it will/should be obvious to you why you need a helper to see if the throwout bearing fork is moving or not. I hope it's not, then you have an easy fix. If it is - dammit, blown clutch

Also check on the inside of the car below the clutch master cylinder. It may be leaking. Check the fluid level first though. If it is up where it should be then it is most likely ok.
