Clutch feels a bit different? Is it on the way out?
Is there a way to tell if a clutch is on the way out?
I don't mean slipping, is there a sign before that?
Because for the last week or so my clutch has felt different. It is not as smooth on release at low RPMs (Less than 1700?). I am not sure if it is considered a "judder" or a "shudder" but basically I can just feel through the steering wheel that it is vibrating ever so slightly when starting from a stop in first.
I was told that if it can start from a stop in first, relatively quickly, without any gas then it is a sign that it is strong? It can do that fine but that doesn't seem like that is a good indicator of clutch life.
Maybe it is nothing and I am just over analyzing, or maybe it is a sign of a big repair bill in the future?

repair bill?! you can do a clutch in a weekend in your driveway for cheap...
eitherway, i've noticed something similar recently too. i continued to analyze and decided my driving had gotten a bit sloppy. but hydro clutches are supposedly self adjusting so right up untill the end you shouldn't feel it going. that's my assumption.
i wouldn't worry too much about it though. just try to have something in savings so when you do feel slipping you can get it fixed as soon as possible.

I'm not a mechanic or anything, my grandpa was and he told me to test the clutch by heal-toeing the gas/brakes. So basically just put it in first, and press gas/let go of clutch as normal, but hold the brakes (not the e-brake) if it stalls, it's good.
