Clutch and Exhaust Mysterious Noises
Clutch:
I noticed today that when I press my clutch in, it makes a squeaking sound. Not the pedal, but the actual clutch assembly I think. Is this an indicator of anything wrong? I do have 91,000 miles on that clutch and it has seen many races, auto-x's and abuse, but it doesn't seem to be slipping.
Exhaust:
Also, I have been told that my exhaust is getting louder by several people. When driving I have noticed that it "cracks" and "pops" a lot more, mostly when shifting or when letting off the gas pedal at high RPM's. It sounds almost like it's back-firing. Is this an indicator of a problem? Oh, I have a cat-back exhaust with 2.25 inch piping.
Decided to add this one in too...
Steering:
Sometimes when I start driving from a stop, something will make a sound like my wheels are burning out for a second or two. I can relate this to how much power I give the car until I feather out the clutch. I think it might be a tie-rod end.
Another problem is, at slow speeds, when I turn the wheel all the way in one direction it will make a screetching sound until I turn the wheel the other way. I believe this problem and the other problem is related, but I'm not sure what it is.
I had my entire steering system checked and some people said I need a new steering rack, steering knuckle and tie rod ends and other mechanics said everything looks fine, so I'm not sure.
Any help is appreciated. Steering noises arn't a big problem, just the clutch and exhaust I'm worried about.

Re: (MrIllegalX)
my exhaust makes that noise (cracking and poping) when i let off the gas 2 and my exhaust is pretty new. its also a 2.25" (crush bend) catback piping with an aftermarket muffler. ive always wondered what caused that. btw i drive a 95 hatch with a b18b swap.
